Oh, I wish someone could just go take photos of the pages and put them into
.JPGs we could read somewhere! I'm in Oregon without a chance that I'll ever
get out there.

Vicki, Hi!
We'll have to have Pat Brewer pick you up the next time she comes. You see
she has been putting it off. You know she keeps promising that she is going to
get back. Maybe you being there in Oregon and wanting to come----could motivate
her to get it all together and tromp down here. We'll see what she says?Has
she taken a break?

Thanks so much for sharing all that you did.

Often, I think that people that are just starting out on some of this or
maybe just posting it for the first few times are very reluctant to put things
online. Believe me I have had three contacts in about as many days with people
that may or may not be connected to these families but they are looking for a
missing person that I have so we all keep our fingers crossed that this may be
the family but you know what? Even if it isn't you have made another contact
about someone that you are looking for. You can never tell when one of those
contacts will run across the lead you need to identify someone you are looking
for.

Make sure that you post your information on a surname list because people
seem to look there first.(which is always a great idea) but like you, don't
forget to post on the county lists where you know that those relatives were at one
point in time. Some of these Ozark families are really illusive and if you
read this list long enough you will see why. The rough hilly land were all forest
and rocks----it was the least desirable after the better farm land. There
were many families that had grand ideas about producing tons off the hilly lands
but it is pretty difficult---it ended up being basically subsistance farming
but many of them ended up with very interesting lives. That's why some of us
keep searching
