Hi Vera & Bernie,

I can clear up one of the Pinkston guys. Ulysses Grant Pinkston was the son
of my gg grandmother Mary E Binkley Ballard Pinkston and her second husband
Zachariah Pinkston. Her first husband, my gg grandfather William R Ballard
died during the Civil War. Ulysses Grant was known as Grant. I know of
one guy that Grant taught to read and Grant liked to sketch and he also
played musical instruments. His wife Martha married again after he died.
