That is why I kept posting that OTHER ADAMS family line for you to look at. It also contains a William Martin Adams - causing some confusion for our line with all of our William M. Adams men.
But still there is the believe that they were raised by Wythe Adams and he would NOT be kin to that Jesse Adams.
The only explanation I have (so far) for that is - like I have already said. The story is well known about Wythe raising the orphaned children of his brother. So that story could have infilterated that other line as they were very mixed (by that I mean living in the same locations as; having the same given names as and etc.) Maybe we need to try to trace that line a little more.
I ask Vera to look for some kind of death notice for Elizabeth Adams Nelson to see if it mentioned her brother John Q. Adams and if so where he was living when she died. So far I have not heard back from her. Maybe she will find something. I do NOT even know for certain that Elizabeth died before John Q. did. I am just hoping that if she did the obituary would help us out.

All of you Adams mystery researchers, I have a new proposal about
the possible parents of Jesse Adams who married Mary F. Ledford.
Note I said POSSIBLE, for sure I have no proof at this time.
Green Berry Adams (Sr) b. ca 1838 AR (probably Searcy Co.) and
married Dulcina Tutt b. ca 1846 Marion Co. AR. (She was the daughter
of the famous Hansford Tutt of the Tutt Everett War in Marion County)
They had three children that I can find, **** Jesse ****, Richard and
Green Berry Jr..
Now Green Berry Adams Sr. was killed in the Civil War and I don't
know what happened to Dulcina Tutt, but the children are found living
with their Uncle and aunt Jesse M. Adams and Hannah (Younger) for the
1870 Census in Searcy Co. AR Tomahawk. The children of Green Berry
Sr. are no longer with them in 1880.
Now both Green Berry Sr. and Jesse M. Adams are sons of Rev. Jesse
Adams b. 12 Feb 1796 Roaring River , Wilkes North Carolina, and
Rhoda Martin b. 13 Jul 1798 Beaver Creek, Floyd, Kentucky, who had
been in KY, IN, IL and MO before settling in Wiley's Cove in Searcy
Co. AR ca 1838. Jesse was a Baptist minister, a horse trader and a politician.
Any Takers on trying to figure out the Jesse above?
