The Woodalls and the Ruminers intermarried; I know. Mahala's brother;
Shadrack Woodall (b1832) was married to Mary Ann Ruminer (b1838). Shadrack died
shortly after the Civil War; I believe. Probably from illness or injury - like
so many others?

The children listed in the 1870 census above were the issue of Mahala's other
brother; David Ruminer (b1834) and a Frances unkown (b1840 MO). David was
deceased shortly after the War, also.

I am having trouble with the above statement. Wouldn't David be a Woodall
and also his children
