I have a cousin that was named at birth as Melford Ray. My 5 kids were
grown before they ever knew that, and probably some of the kids of my
generation. All his life he was called Ray Bob by his folks and everyone.
Even at his graduation I remember hearing his name called as Ray Bob. So no
wonder we have such a horrible time getting our facts straight.
