I believe this may be the obituary for Josephine Tate's husband.
Calico Rock Progress - Apr 13, 1916 - Obituary

On April 6, 1916 the Death Angel visited the home of John M. Tate and called
him from the walks of life to the kingdom above.

Mr Tate was born April 20, 1849 and died April 6, 1916 age 66 years 11
months and 16 days.

Mr Tate was better known by the name of Uncle John. He was born where he
died on Lafferty Creek 3 miles south of Anderson.

Uncle John was a highly respected citizen and was loved by all who knew him.
In early life he joined the M. E. Church and tried to live in triumph of the
living faith. The deceased leaves a wife and six children, three brothers
and one sister and a host of friends to mourn their loss.

Funeral services were conducted by Walter Love, at his residence after which
the body was laid to rest on the 7th of April to await the resurrection.
Written by a friend.
