Goodness John Haley
The man, Carter? He must have been hangin' out in the same circles as my
Sinors! LOL
Don't you wish that you knew the ENTIRE story?
I got tickled when Kathy Leuck of this List was talking to a Sinor
descendant in Arkansas and the elderly gentleman asked Kathy if she had ever
heard the story of Jim Sinor shooting a man in "town?"
Well, Kathy asked if he meant the story about Jim killing the man right
after the War in the town square in Yellville?
The elderley gentleman just looked at her and said,
"No, that was another time." Or something along those lines! LOL Sure
make one wonder just how many he did kill?
Arkansas was something else in those days, wasn't it?
Sooooooooo.................your James Frederick Carter? Do you know how
early he was in the area?

> The Carter family I'm talking about were James Dallas Carter and his
father James Frederick Carter. Our info has James Dallas around Ash Flat
and Zion about 1900. Some interesting stories, but nothing for sure. One
version has the family coming to AR after the father being killed in a fight
on a riverboat over a card game. Another version has the family coming to
AR after the father was killed by someone and after locating in AR the sons
went back and killed the killer.
