Makes me hope that none of my female ancestors were children living there in 1900! What a nightmare! Now the 1850 Weakley Co.
census is another matter. Don't know if I have anyone living there or not - but definitely worth taking a look-see.

> Just found a whole section of the 1900 Ellis Co., TX (Pct. 1, Dist. 14) census where the census taker listed all the female
offspring as "Darter." LOL! His first name was "Whipple."

some of the names, showing women's maiden names and relationship to HOH, corrected the spelling, etc. Must have been when the
original records were still available to the public.
