Calico Rock Progress - Dec 9, 1949 - Mrs Robert Stroud Dies at Oxford Friday

Funeral services for Mrs Julia Catherine Stroud, aged 61, of Oxford, who
died Friday night, were held Monday afternoon at Oxford. Burial was in the
Wideman Cemetery. Funeral services were conducted by Eld. G. W. Howard of
Melbourne.

Mrs Stroud was born in this county and practically all her life was spent in
the vicinity of Oxford and Wideman. She was a member of the Church of
Christ.

She is survived by her husband; Robert L. Stroud of Oxford; five daughters,
Mrs O. V. Reynolds of Brockwell, Mrs Herschel Townsend of Wideman, Mrs Davis
Helm of Oxford, Mrs David Paul of Oroville, Wash., and Mrs Roy Dean Prewitt
of Union; two sons, Roy of Union and Sgt. Ralph Stroud of Scott Field, Ill.;
two sisters, Mrs Marion Hively of Yakima, Wash., and Mrs Howard Elliott of
Georgewest, Texas; two brothers, Arthur Montgomery of Yakima, Wash., and
Robert Montgomery of Georgewest, Texas; and 14 grandchildren
