Sep 19, 1924 - Mrs T. J. Ashley
On Saturday, Sept 7th, Mrs T. J. Ashley of Violet Hill, died in Oklahoma City, at the home of her daughter, Mrs C. C. Jacobs, where she had spent the past few months.
Mrs Ashley had been in declining health for some time. She was taken to the Mayo hospital at Rochester, Minn., for treatment a few months ago and later went to Oklahoma City.
She has lived in this county nearly all her life and was loved and respected by all for her true Christian spirit. Her death was not unexpected.

Interment was at Violet Hill cemetery Tuesday, the 9th, funeral services being conducted by Elder Porterfield.
(Note: Violet Hill Cemetery shows, Martha E. Ashley 11 Mar 1857 - 6 Sep 1924)
