Annis, I did not realize that about her brother. She always had beautiful
flowers in her yard near the school. I had certainly forgotten about this
connection!
Your cousin, Claude Wayne's wife Sue is a part of my history. She and my
Mother worked together in the grocery store in Calico. I think that may have been
through three owners, Jesse & Lackey Trotter, Carol & Lorene Hicks and then
the Guthrie twin, Robert & Lena's son.
Your Uncle Claud's house was next door to a friend of mine (from school). I
think they watched after us (out of view, of course) as we both had working
Moms.
Special people, your relatives--Annis.

Carrico. My Great-grandfather, J. C. Carrico, lived with Aunt Bessie. He had
a wooden leg and was always working in the garden and had lots of flowers.
My sister and I lived with our grandparents most of the time. They lived in
Mountain Home, but almost every Sunday afternoon we went to Calico to Aunt
Bessie house. Neil Hudson lived up the street and a little farer up was
Uncle Claud Carrico house .
