James Smith is the father of Martha Smith - that was Lucian Adkisson's first wife.



Harriet Smith that was married to Ed Hays?


Well..................Ed Hays's last wife was Rebecca Jane Potts Langston. Rebecca's daughter; Polly Langston was married to a John Denton (I think.) and their daughter; Rebecca Denton was married to James Blankinship.



Nancy Emma Blankinship; daughter of Rebecca and James - was married to Sherman Smith - son of Thomas Smith (b1866 MO) and Nancy Sinor (b1864 AR).



Sure makes a soul wonder about this James Smith and Levina Breece (Breese?) line, doesn't it?



In my attempt to verify the parents of my Thomas Smith - I have come the 1900 census record for he and Nancy Sinor and children. In this census, he says that his father was born in Tennessee and his mother; in Arkansas.



Before my accident; a Denton researcher thought that he might have found the birth family of my Thomas Smith. As I recall, it was in Saline Co., Missouri. Never would have thought?



Maybe I will look around tonight. I know that Dodger had found some records that sure looked promising - but, that was before the laptop crashed!
