EVENING SHADE - Coy Lee Farris, 70, of Evening Shade died Friday, Feb. 25, 2005, at his home.

Born Oct. 21, 1934, at Franklin, he was the son of John and Estel Tadalock Farris. He was a factory worker and a member of Piney Fork Church of Christ at Evening Shade.

Survivors include his wife, Pat Farris; a daughter, Lanette Treadway of Cave City; a stepson, Rob Poetzl of Sullivan, Mo.; four brothers, Bob Farris of Cave City, Floyd Farris of Batesville, Ted Farris of Sidney and Eddie Farris of Evening Shade; a sister, Mamie Couch of Nashville; three grandchildren, Derek Treadway and Misty Farris, both of Cave City, and Jason Farris of Evening Shade; two great-grandchildren, Hunter Farris and Jadon Farris, both of Cave City; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Marty Farris; a brother, Claude Farris; and a sister, Amie Grimes.

The funeral was at 2 p.m. today at Piney Fork Church of Christ in Evening Shade with Jack Richardson officiating. Burial was in Wiles Cemetery at Ash Flat under the direction of Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.

Pallbearers were Derek Treadway, Tony Farris, Bryan Bowser, Brett Farris, Barry Farris and Rodney Bowser.

Honorary pallbearers were Bob Lassiter, Clifford Wright, James Simmons, Fred Arnold, Noel Arnold, Tom Qualls, Junior Runsick and Ronnie Qualls.
