Glad it was helpful. I've looked for the Woodcock family in 1860 and 1870,
but no luck with census info. I have marriage books and the cemetery book,
so can add some info to what I already sent.
Descendants of Modena Francis Woodcock
Generation No. 1
1. MODENA FRANCIS1 WOODCOCK was born November 2, 1830 in Kentucky or
Tennessee, and died May 29, 1880 in California. He married MARY L. DORCAS
LANGSTON September 30, 1858 in Izard County, Arkansas, daughter of JOHN
LANGSTON and MILDRED LIVINGSTON. She was born December 28, 1843 in Izard
County, Arkansas (Source: (1) Cemeteries of Izard County by Carroll Hayden.,
(2) 1900 North Fork Twp. Baxter Co. AR, Polly L. Hively, wife Dec 1843 56
AR.), and died May 17, 1932 in Rodney, Baxter County, Arkansas (Source:
Cemeteries of Izard County by Carroll Hayden.).

Burial: Tulare/Kings Co. CA
Notes for MARY L. DORCAS LANGSTON:
OBITUARY
Two of grandmother Hively's favorite songs were "O Come Angel Band" and
"I'll Live On." On the evening of May 17th, the Angel Band did come to bear
her spirit to the Celestal City of eternal day. "Aunt Polly" as everyone
called her was borned December 28, 1844. She was first married to Frank
Woodcock. To this union eight children were born. Her husband and one child
preceded her to the great beyond. Next she was married to Thomas Robert
Hively. To this union three children were born. One by one the silver cords
break and the family moves home to God. Fifteen years ago grandfather left
his earthy abode and moved to his mansion in heaven. Early in life
grandmother was converted and united with the Methodist Church. She lived a
devoted christian life and was always a source of inspiration to those with
whom she came in contact. Her second husband being an old time Circuit rider
she was called upon to experience many trying monents, but as I have often
heard her say "The harder the Cross the brighter the Crown." She was willing
to give her life a living sacrifice in order that the lost might hear the
gospel. O that the mantle she has worn for eighty-eight years might fall on
her children and grand children that we like her might bear the consecrated
cross until God pulls the curtain back and we are permittedto enter His
Other Room. She leaves to mourn her loss ten children and a number of
grandchildren, She also leaves one step-daughter, Mrs. Nancy Lackey, who was
as dear to her as an own daughter. Two step-sons Rev. John Hively and Rev.
Charlie Hively, went on to be with Jesus less than a year ago. Her life on
earth has been a blessing and our loss is Heaven's gain. For years we looked
forward to grandmother's visits but she is looking forward to our coming
now, and what a happy day that will be. In her last hours perhaps she felt
as the poet who wrote:
Adieu, sweet friends, I've waited long To hear the message that calls me
home.....
