Erma Leola Langston of Jordan, daughter of the late Nora Russell Hively
and Thomas Hively, was born September 21, 1911, in Rodney. She died
February 4, 1998, at the Medical Center of Calico Rock. She was 86.

Mrs. Langston was united in marriage to William Langston June 10, 1932.
She was a retired school teacher. She was a member of the Rodney
Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include one son, Bill Langston of Klamath Falls, Oregon; one
brother, T. J. Hively of Batesville; five sisters, Eula Southard of
Rodney, Lillian Russell of Mountain Home, and Willeen Langston, Wilma
Southard, and Eileen Southard, all of Jordan; three grandchildren, and
several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband
and parents.

Services were held at Roller Funeral Home in Mountain Home.

Pallbearers were James Southard, Fred Sifford, Don Green, Jerry Russell,
Dennis Langston and David Langston. Honorary pallbearers were Roger
Griffin, Eddie Griffin, Leighton Jordan, Glen Friend, George Chambers,
and Robert Skidmore.

Interment was at Wayland Arbor under the direction of Roller Funeral
Home in Mountain Home.
