In a sketch in the 2003 edition of "History and Families of Izard
County", Anna Mae Brooks writes that she is the second of 12
children of Jasper Henry Warren Brooks and Effie Myrl Weatherford.
The information she presents is summarized below:

J.H. W. Brooks (2 Dec 1902- 5 April 1964)
Effie M. Weatherford (28 Nov 1907- 7 sep 1993)
They were married 5 Sep 1925 and both are buried at Barren Fork
Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant. She was the daughter of John A. and
Celia (Farrier) Weatherford.
