This query intrigued me, since I grew up at Sage. Don't remember either of
the
names when I was growing up. Checked the 1900 census, and found Henry
Hill but no McLaughlins.......

As I said, didn't find any McLaughlins, but the following is
a possibility......

Lafferty is south of Sage, with Drytown Twp in between. Wonder if the two
managed to find each other?????

Here is the same man in 1910, Mill Creek Twp, #152

Lige son 19M
COPELAND, Betty dau 30F (widowed)

If he is the one who was married in 1901, looks like it didn't
last.......................hrb
