Amazing!!! My great-grandmother, Denia Woodcock RADER was 92;
great-grandmother, Sarah Isabelle Hancock DELK was 91; my grandfather James
'Cecil' DELK was 90; my mother is 82 now. Must bee some long-living genes
in these families.

Calico Rock Progress
Mar 21, 1947 - M. L. Woodcock Dies at Rodney Monday
Martin Luther Woodcock, a life-long resident of this section, died
at his home at Rodney, Monday, at the age of 82. Mr Woodcock, who had been
in failing health for several months, contracted pneumonia which hastened
his death.
Mr Woodcock was born in this county and his life was spent in the
vicinity of his birth. He was married 49 years ago to Miss Margaret Yeary.
To this union twelve children were born, five surviving. He was faithful
member of the Methodist church and was active in all affairs for better-ment
of the community.
Surviving are his wife; five daughters, Mrs Laura Russell of
Mountain Home, Mrs Rose Dewey and Mrs Mae Hamlet of Rodney, Mrs Elizabeth
Stone of Calico Rock and Mrs Hattie Barwig of San Francisco, Calif.; six
sisters, Mrs Adeline Langston, Mrs Calla Whitfield, Mrs Samantha Inman, Mrs
Deanie Rader, Mrs Jane Russell and Mrs Martha Hunter; a half brother, T. H.
Hively and eleven grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon, Rev W. T. Watson and
Rev Y. Whitfield conducting the services. Burial was in the Wayland Arbor
Cemetery with the Roller Funeral Services in charge.

I was lucky enoough to meet May (Woodcock) Hamlet. She was quite a lady. The
last time I saw her she was walking to the market which was a few blocks
from her home. She had on her bonnet and her little bag over her arm, to
carry her groceries home in. She didn't want a ride. By this time her eyses
were so bad she couldn't see to read. She lived to have her 99th birthday.
