After finding out from my mom last week that the dates
we had for Lela Sinor were wrong, I decided to track
her down. I looked at the obituary that she pulled and
there was no way it could have been our Lela.

O.k Guys!! I now know the dates for Lela Sinor. Lela
Sinor was born October 23, 1914 in Arkansas and
passed away on October 10, 2000 in Hutchinson, Reno
County, Kansas. Her SSN is 369-44-7223 She married a
third time to Harold W Finkey. His SSN is
307-26-8114. I'm not sure of their marriage date or
where they were married. Harold Finkey's dates are
November 1, 1917 for his birth date and he died the
year before Lela. His death date is December 3, 1999.
I got the information on Lela being a Finkey from
Arthur Sinor's obituary. Here is his obituary:

The following appeared in the Benton Courier on
November 15, 1996

ARTHUR SINOR

Arthur Sinor of the Sardis community died Thursday,
November 14, 1996. He was 79.

He was a retired supervisor for Timex Corp.

He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and
the Masonic Lodge of North Little Rock and was an army
veteran of World Ward II.

Surivors include four daughters, Alicia Mosher, Carla
Lem, and Fredia Willis, all of Sardis and Imanell
Myers of Benton; one son, Carl Wynn of Little Rock;
one sister, Lela Finkey of Kansas; and five
grandchildren.

Funeral is scheduled at 1 p.m. Monday at Ashby Funeral
Home with the Rev. Roy Lewis officiating. Burial will
follow at McPherson Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the
funeral home.

I am expecting to receive Lela's and Harold's
obituaries from Kanasas this coming week. They are in
the mail to me as I write this.

Now, can anyone send me any information they have on
the Lela Sinor/Frank Melton case. I don't have many
of the particulars and I think I've gotten everything
I could glean from the archives. Also, if there are
any announcements or obituaries out there with
information about her life/marriages/family, I would
greatly appreciate it.

Thanks for everything. I'll share the obits when they
arrive. I've been told that they have pictures!! How
cool!
