Vera,
Think you've done it again, need a little more proof that this is my Jarrett
family but the fact that his parents were born in SC sure points in that
direction. His age is a bit off, but only by a couple of years. I have a
1840 census for 15th Division, Cherokee Co., GA where he is living with his
father, Tillman GARRETT and mother, Tabitha 2 daughter under age of 10 and
two sons under 5 (Richard and Kinsey ?). Then in 1850 Census for Ball
Ground, Cherokee Co., GA Tabitha has remarried to a Jonathan Williams,
living with them are his is youngest son Joseph A. and daughter Charlotte
and his 4 JARRETT step-children, Sarah A. age 18, Richard age 16, Kinsey age
13 and WILLIAM age 11.

Judging by the age of William's listed wife this must be his second
marriage. There is a 1 yr old who mother is listed as having been born in GA
and since Williams present wife lists her bp as TN wonder if child's mother
might have died in child birth. Guess that means a line, by line search of
the 1870 census since I haven't found him yet and the rest of his sibs are
in Izard and Sharp Co.'s by this time.
