I will have to answer one question at a time as I said, I have not read this material and it is 160 pages so I try to find the people you speak of:

on page 19 It reads: " Pearl Tinnon passed away on the 28th of Sep in 1953. High married, Josie Smothers, on the 5th of May in 1955. Josie, the daughte of John Smothers and Hester Glovens Lovelady, was born in Buford cummunity of Baxter County, AR on the 5th of Feb in 1905."

Now William Hugh Edwar Tinnon the oldest child of Thomas and Mary Alice Cunningham Tinnon was born at Norfork Ar on 27th apr in 1889. He married Pearl Pitchford, daughter of Benton Pitchford and Ada BellNunn. They had two children Thomas Benton Tinnon and Mary Bell Tinnon.

A daughter of Thomas and Mary Alice was Irene Cornelai and hse married Henry Medley an engineer on the Iron Mountain division of the Missouri Pacific railroad.

A third child of Thomas and Mry Alice was Samuel Azariah who married Celeste Sweet in Little Rock.

I have spent several hours trying to re-research the Tinnon line online. I can tell you that I have not made any connection with this Tinnin line and the one who married Amanda Wolf as of yet.

In fact there are two exactly named men with two exactly named wife - one born in NC one born in TN. Their children seem to be the same and so on but the different researchers have documented two different people with descendants of same name, going to the same place Cape Giraredeau Co., MO and then into AR. One Col. Hugh Tinnin is credited with going to Washington Co., AR and one Col. Hugh is the father of my Azariah who was born in MO but the father is credited with dying in TN yet Azariah did end up in Baxter Co.

At this point I have no idea if I really have two different families born in two different states and both getting very close to the same area of AR with children of the same names and birth dates or if it is one couple with some problems in states.

I am totally confused. db

My long time interest in TINNON / TINNIN is because of marriage of Sarah Jane TINNON (1828 - 1952) to Calvin LUTHER. I show Sarah Jane as sister to Dorothy's ancestor Azariah TINNON, husband of Amanda WOLF.

From my experience, this name TINNON gets really fouled up in census records -- making them difficult to find.
