Don't know how much the researcher has on this Hopper family. They were
looking for the death date and place of Charles and Betsy. History says he
came to Baxter County, AR 1873-1876.

Thanks for the info.

> Descendants of Charles "Charlie" Hopper
> ........... 2 John D./S. Hopper b: November 07, 1837 in Rabun Co., Georgia
> d: November 23, 1876 in Arkansas Burial: Gassville Cemetery-Gassville,
> Baxter Co., Arkansas
> ............... +Sarah E. "Sallie" Thomas b: 1840 in Georgia

John and his family are still in GA in 1870.
She and their children are listed in the 1880 Baxter County.
It would seem she died after 1892.

Arkansas Confederate Veterans & Widows Penison Appications shows:
------ Hopper, John S.
Co A Reg 34 Div GA-V --- 65
widow
-- 93 Hopper, Sarah E. applied for pension in 92 in Baxter County and was
rejected

This researcher says she died after 1897.
Cemetery book "Of Grave Importance"
Gassville Cemetery
Hopper, John S. 1837-1874
Hopper, Sarah 8 Jan 1831 - 16 Aug 1885

The up-date I did on Gassville Cemetery shows
Hopper, John S.
7 Nov 1837 - 23 Nov 1876

NO Sarah, either I missed her or the stone was unreadable. That may be why
the death date for her was lissted as 1885 instead of something after 1892.

This research was interested in Burton Duncan, too.

Thanks again.
