Hi all

My cousin; Bob Hudson shared a wonderful picture with me this morning. It was given to him by Evelyn Smith - widow of Earl Smith of Yellville.

Earl Smith's father was Everett Smith - and a newly found brother to my grandfather; Sherman Smith and Bob Hudon's grandfather; Lewis Smith.

So, I have now a face to two brothers of my grandfather's. Lewis and Everett.

Anyway, the picture is taken of a group of employees of the Guion Sand Mine, in the 1920s. My mother was born there in 1918 - at Guion. It appears that my grandfather - Mother's father; Sherman was not a mine worker. Too busy with stills and cotton, I think.

But, for any of you interested - the following men are pictured:

Charles Daniels
Joe Teague
Ray Williamson
Burt Jones
Wash Moser
Colonel Sheffield
Claud Campbell
Phil Engles
Emmett Ruminer
Finis Pierce
Dood McGinnis
Bill Owens
Baker George's son (unnamed given name?)
Marvin Adamson
Sanford Crews
Cloud Owens (Claud?)
Owen Brooks
Everett Smith
Sim Sheffield
Simon Pierce
Jewl Ennis
John Brooks
McKinley Arnold
W. O. Tilton

The photograph was printed in a newspaper evidently and by some of the men's names, there are cause of deaths - for those of you interested in knowing.

If anyone wants to see this photograph - I'd be glad to forward it - as I am sure that Bob would not mind.

Kind of cool to see....................
