I don't know if this is J. G. McClellan in 1900; but sure looks good to me.
Now, Nancy was still going by Hightower as far as I know in 1900. But, she
was enumerated in Joel Sinor's (former brother in law to Nancy Humberd Sinor
Hightower) household at that time. The census doesn't show her surname (as
I wish that I did); just gives the impression that she is a Sinor:

1900 Baxter Co., Arkansas census:
SINOR, Joel head W M Jan 1822 78 M/40 yrs VA VA VA
#22/22 Liddie E. wife W F Feb 1830 10 M/40 8/6 TN NC NC
William H. son W M May 1872 28 S AR VA TN
Nancy boarder W F April 1832 Widowed 48 8/6 TN VA NC
CRANE, James F. boarder W M June 1878 21 S AR IL AR

Noteto the 1900 census: The "48" is crossed out on the census line of
Nancy's.

I know that Billy Hightower and I have kind of chuckled at how her age seems
to gain and lose or the years; in various records that we have come across.

This census that you found could very well be him, with his first wife and
family. Don't you think?

Here is the marriage record that I am sure that Vera provided, showing her
to be born circa 1843 and McClellan being born circa 1833. Wouldn't that be
right?

Baxter Co., Arkansas marriage record:
Mrs Nancy Hightower 62 m. 16 Apr 1905 J. G. McClellan 72

I think you found McClellan in 1900, Miss Fern - I really do:

1900 census Izard County; Bryan Twp,.
John G. MCCLELLAN April 1832; 68 md 40 yrs b. TN occ. Miller
wife Nancy E. Jul 1843; 56 md 40 yrs 14 ch. 8 living
MO KY VA
dau Girtrude A. Feb. 1883 17 MO TN MO
son Guyger F. May 1885 15 Mo TN MO
son Sweety April 1888 12 AR TN TN

Don't you?
