At an auction several years ago, I purchased a large box of "junk." In it were two bibles with quite a few births and deaths within the ESTES family.

The first bible did not give any indication of the owner. It is copied as written.

Thomas N. ESTES was born Feb. 9, 1830.
Lucy R. JOHNSON was born (blank).
Thomas N. ESTES and Lucy R. JOHNSON were married (blank).
Minerva R. WILSON was born Apr. 8, 1823.
Thomas N. ESTES and Minerva R. WILSON were married 2-14-1869.
Lucy R. ESTES, wife of Thos. N. ESTES, died Nov. 1858.
Minerva R. ESTES, wife of Thos. N. ESTES, died 5-9-1905.
W. K. ESTES, son of T. N. and L. R. ESTES, born 9-5-1853.
John J. ESTES, son of T. N. and L. R. ESTES, born 2-24-1856.
Sam C. ESTES, son of T. N. and L. R. ESTES, born 11-11-1858.
Walter H. ESTES, son of W. K. and L. E., born 3-21-1877.
Jasper M. ESTES, son of W. K. and L. E., born 3-14-1879.
Allie Maud ESTES, daughter of W. K. and L. E., born 7-21-1881.
Ford W. ESTES, son of W. K. and L. E., born 12-23-1883.
Ella and Della ESTES, daughters of W. K. and L. E., born 4-15-1886.
Nancy C. ESTES born 7-20-1854.
Thomas N. ESTES died Apr. 18, 1920.
W. K. ESTES died Mch. 25, 1933 (Sat. 10 p.m.)
F. W. ESTES died October 25, 1936 (Sun. 8:20 a.m.)
Nancy C. ESTES died Oct. 4, 1939 (Wed. 3:40 p.m.)
W. H. ESTES died Mch. 39, 1940. [as is, not my typo]
Alma ESTES died July 1941.
Jasper M. ESTES died July 25, 1943 (Fri. 8:00 a.m.)
Lucy Horton CLARK died Oct. 28, 1952 (Tues. 3:45 p.m.)

In a separate bible:

"Presented to Mrs. Nancy C. ESTES by W. K. ESTES as a birthday present July 20, 1924."

"William K. ESTES of Melbourne, Arkansas and Miss Nancy C. KITCHENS of Melbourne, Arkansas were united by me in holy matrimony at J. H. RUSSELL's on the 30th day of January in the year of our Lord 1887.
