In the Izard Co Historian July 1998 Descendants of W. B. "Wylie" Marchant
Part II
3.4 Melissa Cassa "Cassey" born 1857 or 1858, Lunenburg, Izard Co, AR
spouse of 3.4 John Gray (no other information)
4.1 Maude Gray
spouse of 4.1 R. D. Haney (Married and moved to TX)
I went back and found this after Mary's reply.
In the 1910 census John M. puts his birth as AR and his father AR and his
mother KY same as the 1880 census. This is correct for William Gray and
Jane Wren.

Also, if she was married to John M. Gray -- he is shown in the household of
his mother and grandparents and he is shown as single. So, are we sure she
married John M. Gray? Or at least the son of Jane Wren and William Gray? I
think we may need to do some more work on this. Evidently she married a
Gray, but how can we be sure which one?

"Cassie" is in household of her parents in 1880 census with this two-year
old son. She is shown as married -- but where is husband?

named Martin, would he possibly have been named for his father's middle
initial?
