Hi Bernie,

I think my cousin now believes that we had been following the wrong rabbit
trial in which FARRIER we descended from, so now he's gone with a different
one, and between him and a number of our other cousins on the JAMES/FARRIER
side of the family, he's checking into the possibility that those showing
up in Izard County are connected to us. I guess I shouldn't be so
surprised, because Christian County, MO seemed to have a lot of ties to
that area of AR! Amazing how many times I have seen someone in Christian
County turn up with AR roots!

What's really weird to me is that my MAYFIELDS on Dad's side of the family
were in Washington County, TN at the same time that my mom's BLEDSOES were
there (in the same district) of the same county! One ends up in Izard
County, the other in Christian County, MO!

As for who married Mary Anne HIGHTOWER, David said in an old message to the
group that a Joshua HIGHTOWER was her husband. I don't know that David
knew who Mary Anne's parents were.

married a MARYANN HIGHTOWER 12 Apr 1805 Warren County, KY. Moved to Izard
County, Arkansas. Their children were: Polly, Nancy, Jane, Thomas,
Harrington, James. Jane Hightower married Robert Walker and had a daughter,
Sarah born in Izard Co., Arkansas. Just an interesting tidbit...more
Hightowers out there than we'd guess.

1830 CENSUS, IZARD COUNTY, AR 7-163HIGHTOWER,
MARYANN011010000000-001000100000 Can you look in the 1840 census for Izard
County for ALL HIGHTOWERS? Maryann is a widow here, with 3 boys that fit
the ages of Jackson, William, & Silas Farrier. The Hightowers married into
the Talberts. (Also, Thomas Farrier, the oldest brother, married Lucinda
Talbert)I have a couple more to try, but this household stands out the
most. Please let me know. If there is a possibility, I would like to post it
on Genforum in the Hightower family messages.

I am speaking in the dark here, because I haven't kept up with the
HIGHTOWER information on the list, since it didn't appear to be in my
line. Now, I guess I will need to do some reading of the Archives. :)

Thanks.

Jean
