Well, we know in the old days, they didn't have insecticides so no wonder Mom
was putting the legs of the beds in pans filled with water. ugh. Sometimes
I think that life was so much simpler back when Mom was growing up. She told
of all the neighbors getting together and making it a DAY doing the washing.
They would all gather at the river:) (thinking of that song) and they would
wash cloths and cook food and make a neighborhood party of it. I imagine the
kids had fonder memories than the women doing the laundry. Juanita
