Hi All,

We have just returned home from a trip to OK and AR and are trying to
play "catch-up" with all of our messages. Our internet server was not
good while we were traveling, and we have marked a Carder message we
wanted to respond to.

June, it was wonderful to have a short visit with you and know that your
health is improving.

We have looked through our Carder information to see whether we could
enlighten the list on the parentage of William J. Carder. This should
serve to muddy the waters. Which William J. is the one of interest?

Jonathan Carder (1807-1874) and 1st wife Margaret Neely had a son
William J. Carder (m. Malinda C.). William and Malinda had children
Francis M (1876-1894), Elbert Baxter(1779-1916), James A., Lucy B.,
Kerry A (1886-1904), and Millie. Several of these children are buried
in the Knob Creek Cem, Old Philadelphia Cem.and Violet Hill Cem.

And, there is a Rev. William J. Carder is listed in the Pleasant Grove
Cem. (23 Mar 1846 - 24 Nov 1928). Also listed in this cem. is Frances
"Fannie" wife of W.J. Carder and children Henry Clarence (1885-1886),
Nancy Cleora (1893-1895) and Zora Dale (1897-1898).

Is there two William J. Carders, or a second marriage of William J.
Carder to Fannie? Would anyone have a 1900 Census (LaCrosse twp, Izard
Co). for William J. and Malinda C Carder. Also a 1900 census showing
William J. Carder and wife Fannie (they are in Newburg Twp, Izard Co in
1910 census).

Perhaps someone can help.
