Bernie,
The 1850 Izard Co. Census lists Benjamin and Mary Polly Chism with
10 children born Izard Co. AR from 1821 to 1847. The child born in 1844 is
Henderson Chism. I wonder if that could be your "Hinds" Chism.
I believe Benjamin's parents were Elisha and Elizabeth Chism.
I don't have a complete enough picture on the Chism family to know
if they are related to James H. Chism.
