Hi Bernie, I agree....what a name, but it maybe a nickname, if that helps
any. I do not have this Avit Blankenship in my records. If, this is a son
of William C. Blankenship, then he must have had another marriage, as I have
him married to Elizabeth Chase and their first child I have born in 1856.
Could he have been married before Elizabeth? New puzzle. Sorry, I couldn't
be more help. William C. is Newt and Jean's direct line, so perhaps they
would know. You would think with all the Blankenship relatives on this list
that we could solve these questions. What a challenge!!! Delpha
