Jean
I like your style! And your brains! Could very well be. It just seemed so
"coincidental" that this Jefferson D. was in Salem in 1900, where Jeff
Denton's mother died in 1909 and the 1900 census record show his birthdate
in September 1862, when my other few records of him revealed an 1863
birthdate.
<<TN/NC/GA>>
This is the only kicker. We all know that Mary Langston was not born in
Georgia. And his father born in North Carolina? A Denton from North
Carolina? Most were from Tennessee, weren't they? Maybe a "rapid
migrator?" LOL
It is certainly something for me to proceed with, I think. Maybe I can
trace the male children in this 1900 census record.......Wilson Denton and
Jefferson Denton.
I may be clutching at straws here, but I like straws okay........mind you.
Thanks Jean. Interesting opinion you had.
