Please dont say you hate to bother me, Bernie.....I LIVE to post to this
list...!! Because 'THATS WHAT I DO...!If you could see me 'through the
looking glass....' I would be here ready to post....and post....and
...Post..... because I love this country where our elusive ansc. are
hiding. O.K.....back to your question.....
There are no dates as to when the 1870 census (copy that I have ) were
In Checking with the 1860 census by Mary Miller, she list the dates in the
front of the book.,, In the 1870 copy that I have, by Ardith Olene Foster,
the listing of twps ALMOST corrospond with 1860 list, but no dates, so if
they were taking the census about the same time / route - Union Twp would
fall into the July -Aug months. Just a guess on my part.
And the Samuel, ( in this copy ) looks like a Samuel, not Lemuel.....

descends from this line.) whether Samuel aka Lemuel (went by the name of
Jeff) was a Denton or a Franks by birth and she said that she really knew
that he was a Denton.

this 1870 census. Too bad that there is not an 1865 census (smile).
