I'm not Vera (I'm sure, because I have a beard), but I
noticed that Karen Hamilton <>
has researched this family. Check out her WorldConnect
file under userid 'alaskalady' -- it is very well
researched and she gives very detailed source
citations as well as quite a bit of historical
background. The pedigree she has for James Reeves
reaches back to a Robert RIVES, b. abt1490 in
Languedoc, France (with intervening generations living
mostly in England before emigrating to the US).
Even if there are gaps or errors in Karen's file, the
source information she provides will put you in touch
with a whole slough of researchers interested in your
line.
Enjoy!
