Hi all

I saw Vera's post on Troy Hightower (b1912) and thought I would throw in
this gentleman's family chart, just in case it would help in connecting the
Baxter Co. Hightowers that Billy Hightower and I research.......to the Izard
Co. Hightowers. As of yet, we have not been successful. Much of this work
is Billy's and not my own.

This Troy Hightower is a descendant of Andrew Jackson Hightower (1814-1875)
and his first wife; Hannah. Andrew Hightower's second wife was a widow;
Nancy Jane Humberd Sinor. She had been married to my ggrandfather's
brother; Andrew Jackson Sinor (1830-1863).

In the early years of the Civil War, he was evidently murdered in his front
yard, as his wife and children witnessed........by bushwackers. A direct
descendant is Billy Hightower, that I mentioned before and he supposes that
his ancestor was buried on the grounds of his farm in Marion Co., Arkansas.

Note: Barbara Crane Shearman, the author of the original post connects
through Nancy Jane Humberd's marriage to Andrew Jackson Sinor.
