(Yes, Thomas Morton's second marriage was to Nancy Wolf Culp, daughter of
Michael Wolf and Elizabeth Adams. Nancy Wolf's first marriage was to Daniel
Culp, son of Thomas Culp and Lavina Jeffey Sams Culp.
Thomas was first married to a Sarah Beck and had several children, not sure
that all the children listed on the above census belonged to Thomas Morton
and Nancy Wolf Culp Morton. Possible that only the one R.C. Morton belonged
to Nancy. Another son, John Morton was supposed to belong to Nancy and
Thomas, born in 1870, who should have been on this census, but was not,
could have been deceased I suppose by then, but we have no death date for
John. R.C. Morton was said to have married Annie Bales and moved to
Oklahoma. Need further information .)

> Samuel m. Annie Wolf ?
> How were they kin ?

(The Samuel above who married Annie Wolf was Samuel Adolphert Morton, who
joined the CSA at the same time same place in Arkansas as Thomas Morton, we
have oral info that they were brothers but no definite proof at this time.)

>
> Was there 2 Samuel'?

(Yes, actually there were several Samuel's, we believe Samuel A. Morton and
Thomas Morton's father was also named Samuel, he died in Kentucky. And
Thomas Morton also named his son Samuel.)

>
> S. A. Morton 46 m. Annie Wolf 24 9 Aug 1888

(Pending documentation, the above S.A. Morton who married Annie Wolf, we
believe to be a brother to Thomas Morton who married Nancy Wolf Culp .)

> S. A. Morton, Jr. 26 m. Maggie Swaningin 16 on 13 Jan 1887

(This Samuel above we believe would be the son of Thomas Morton named for
his father's brother, Samuel Adolphert Morton. We believe this is the
Samuel on the 1880 census that Bernie found. Not sure if Nancy was his
mother or if Sarah Beck Morton was his mother. We really need a death date
for Sarah Beck and a marriage date for Nancy Wolf Culp Morton and Thomas
Morton, which we have not found either at this time ! )

(Not sure on this one will have to check back on my records)

( We believe so, but need further proof at this time)

(Thanks, Vera, always good to get your thoughts and help , I appreciate
