Looking for information on JOHN WESLEY WOOTEN/WOOTON'S family. He moved to
Arkansas from Illinois in the early 1880's and settled in Big Flat where he
and his Uncle George Self had a general store from 1890-1912.
He maried NANCY CATHERINE BRANTLEY and they had 11 children. A daughter
Mellie Wooten married CHARLEY SMITH in 1910. Charley operated a sawmill and
gristmill near Big Flat until 1915 when he moved to Flippin where he also
operated a mill
