Hello Harold and All on List....On a Cooper reujion several years age at
Violet Hill School. there was some discussion about the name of Violet Hill,
and where it got its name....The story is told around Violet Hill that the
school girl came home ( like your story says) and wanted the name changed
to a more pleasant sounding name....and because of all the wild violets
growing around the area....
I'm sure there are other stories about how these towm got their
names....Please let us hear from you all and about the Violet Hill and Mt
Pleasant name or did this happen to more than one town???
Joyce
