I've checked my work againest the book done by the BCHS and the dates 1895
and 1896 are what's on the headstones.

Mountain Echo - Yellville, Marion County newspaper dated Apr 11, 1902
English Denton, born Dec 29, 1824 in TN came to AR in boyhood and was
married twice. By 1st wife he had ten children, 5 have survived, one is a
helpless invalid. English Denton d. Mary 29, 1902. he was licensed to preach
and joined the Missionary Baptist Church. his 2nd wife and 5 children
survive. The funeral was at the Methodist Church and he was buried by his
wife and children.

Same paper dated Jun 15, 1894
"Uncle" Johnathon Denton 75 died. His wife died agout a year ago. He was a
s/o James Denton. Johnathon has lived here about 15 years.

Same paper dated Apr 19, 1895
12 year old son of Dr Denton died. He was thrown by a horse.

The obit for S. E. Denton b. Jun 21, 1853 is so long I don't remeber if I
mentioned:
m. Dec 8, 1878 Georgia Wikie - she d. Mar 2, 1879
m. Dora Wilkie Nov 2, 1880 born to this union were 5 children
I know I listed the children earlier.

I would say there were no children for Georgia if she m. Dec 1878 and d. Mar
1879

SO ! ! have her death date wrong in my cemetery report for Gassville, I'll
make notes in my books and try to get it corrected when I can.

I think you will find LEE DENTON as Robert Denton in the Gassville Cemetery.
Lee Denton's obit is dated Jul 5, 1935 - b. May 29, 1863 died at age 72.
