A headstone with Myrtle & Lisle Shoemaker's name on it says they were
married 12 Jan 1907. Didn't find this marriage in Baxter County. Her head
stone is next to her father's.

Newspaper dated Apr 9, 1926 Mrs Katherine Wilkie age 86 of Gassville died
Apr.
survived by a sister Mrs Caroline Leonard of Mt Home and several children.

I don't know when Stephen E. Denton married Georgia A. ? Her head stone was
hard to read but I have her death as 2 Mar 1870. He would have had to marry
very young and she must have died right away if his birth date is correct
and if I made out the head stone correct. She wan't listed in the Baxter
County cemetery book by BCHS. You will find there were a lot of the really
old ones miss in 1968 when the survey was made. Both S. E. Denton's wives
are buried in the Gassville Cemetery.

After looking at the dates of Stephen E. Denton's children it makes me
wonder if Georgia was the mother and the date of death was 1890. Some times
it is hard to make out a 7 or 9 on the old ones.

Myrtle b. 1881-1976
Judson 1884-1962
Lela 1886-1925
Leona 1892-1940

Both the obituaries for Lela and Leona just list their parents as Mr and Mrs
S. E. Denton.
Lela died in New York state obit says buried Tupper Lake but there is a head
stone in Gassville Cemetery.

Peggy, not sure what you mean here.

Stephen E. Denton that goes with Eldora and Georgia was born 1853.
