Bobby & Jean,

I learned last night at the monthly meeting of the Baxter County Historical
and Genealogical Society that Baxter County was formed in 1873. I believe
part of Izard was given to form it - someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Yes, the county lines did change. I can't seem to find the actual date
right now, for the change between Sharp and Izard. Perhaps someone else can
pull the date out of their hat? Thanks!
