Sandra, What a gold mine. I obtained my husbands g grandfather's
application a couple of years ago. But there were no supporting documents
on either his or his wife's. She applied upon his death.
Way to go girl.

> I obtained a Confederate Pension record from the Arkansas History
Commission several years ago, and it included a biography of my ggg
grandfather as well as the date when he applied for his pension, but the
papers didn't give the date of his death, the papers covered up to the year
of 1912, but he didn't die until 1927, so I don't know if they missed some
of the papers or if he quit having to file after awhile or quit receiving it
some years before his death.

the surname was mispelled) and the names of his parents, places of birth and
his only daughter's name (my great grandmother) and the name of her husband.
Don't know if all of them have the biography included. My great great great
grandfather entered the Civil War in Mississippi, but was living in Arkansas
at the time he filed for his pension, so that is where you send for the
copies. Or it was at the time I sent for mine, guess it is still the same,
don't know. I think at the time it cost me five dollars for the copies.
