Earl Marvin Chism, 69 farmer of Stone County, died Saturday at his home.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. March 5 at Optimus with Bro. G. S.
Campbell of Mountain View officiating. Interment was in the Optimus Cemetery
with the McCallum Funeral Home of Calico Rock in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Roy Brewer, Henry Brewer, Ray Brewer, Gerald Hamby, Gene
Teague and Tom Luster.

Mr. Chism a native of Stone County was born at Newburg on Aug 14, 1896 the
son of Gabe and Marie Blankenship Chism. He married Dec 3, 1920, to the
former May Idell Collins.

He is survived by five daughters, Miss Amel Chism, Mrs. Opal Freeman and
Mrs. Velma Jean Honeycliff, all of Calico Rock, Mrs. Marie Smith of Muncie,
Ind., and Mrs. Erma June Sexton of Texas; five sons, Curtis Lee of Calico
Rock, Jack of Wenatchee, Wash., Dale of Muncie, Don and Noel Chism both of
North Little Rock and a brother Owen Chism of Calico Rock.
