Wilma, I will try to answer some of your questions. According to Floydene's
book Margaret, daughter of Daniel and Martha Hively, married William Simons,
Jr. Jane and Jacob listed in their household in the 1850 census would be the
younger sister and brother of Margaret.

As far as documentation for Daniel's wife being Martha Trimble, I don't have
anything. Apparently this information has been passed down from one generation
to the next. There has been quite a discussion among Hively researchers about
Lydia in the 1850 census. I have not seen the original microfilm, only
transcriptions, but it seems that Daniel married the second time.

As to the question about the census records before 1850, I don't have a clue.
It will take someone smarter than I to untangle them.
