Hi Betty,
Am not sure which e-mail program you are using but see if you can set your
e-mail so that it does not automatically open attachments. My daughter (the
computer geek - network lan administrator) says that a .pif file is an
attached file but that your e-mail program brought it in as a text file. So
see if you can change the settings on your mail program so that it does not
accept attached files in that way. Or.. if your settings are set to allow
you to display emails in html style that will also allow a virus to come in.
