Hi Janet

Yes, this is the Brooks family that I am researching. Shack Brooks was a
brother to Johnnie William Brooks. Johnnie William Brooks and Nora Lewis
had few children survive to adulthood, but one was Maxine Brooks.

Maxine Brooks married a Ewell Richardson.

My grandparents; Nancy Emma Blankinship (1892-1974)and Sherman Lee Smith
(1888-1956) had quite a few vintage photographs of this Maxine Brooks as a
child, which leads me to believe that there is a Brooks family connection to
my Smiths.

Maxine Brooks had a sister; Lucy that married a Luther Smith. Now, whether
Luther is the connection or not to my Smiths, we Brooks researchers have yet
to figure out.

I can't seem to find a Luther Smith in my data, but then I don't know much
about my Smiths. I thought that they were from Baxter Co........but then,
my grandparents married 01 May 1908 in Melbourne, there in Izard Co. So,
the delimma goes on......

I have some Brooks data that was shared with me, if you need additional data
on Shack Brooks. I for one, would be interested in knowing more on Obediah
and Vina Richardson. Who were their parents? Siblings? Never know, my
clue might be there, right?
