A relative sent me this information today. I thought it might be useful to
someone else. Brenda

Robert (born in TN) and Elizabeth Campbell Combs (born in KY) were married
Oct. 21, 1849 in Marion County, Arkansas (1850 Census). He was 23 and she
was 19. Both are buried in the Combs Cemetery in Melbourne, Arkansas.
Elizabeth was the first person to be buried there--she died June 15, 1883.
He married again after her death to Frances "Fame" Dixon. They had one son
Ransom.
Robert Combs was called "Bobby". He and Elizabeth had eight children:
Sarah -Born Oct. 30, 1850 (Died as a child.)

All of their children were born in Arkansas except Jackson who was born in
Missouri.

Jackson married Nancy Lee Coonrod Feb. 24, 1887. He died Sept. 13, 1927.
She was born Oct. 6, 1867 in Tennessee and died April 7, 1962 in Boswell,
Arkansas.
They had 13 children. The last one died as a baby--I think, of measles.
Their children are as follows:
Robert Newton
Floy Annie
Mary Elvira
Lou Ella
Owen Thomas
Edna Elizabeth
Maggie Lee
Sallie Irene
Amy Thelma
Charlie L.
Ralph

Harlan

Nancy Lee Coonrod was born in an area known as "Middle Tennessee." the
family moved to Arkansas when she was age four after the Civil War in which
her father was a POW of the Yankees. Present family members use the
spelling "Conrad." Both Jackson and Nancy Lee Combs are buried in the Combs
Cemetery in Melbourne, Arkansas. Nancy Lee Coonrod was the daughter of
Robert Newton Coonrod and Margaret Ann Bonner Coonrod.
