Hi Harold

Goodness, that helped me a great deal. I appreciate the Melton data. I
really should order that Izard Co. Historian, but foolish that I am, I have
already deleted Jean's contact information for Juanita Stowers, isn't it?
Would you mind posting Juanita's address again for me?

I would like to contact that researcher of that particular line of Meltons.
That line is where my Ankey Jane Blankenship comes in and also interesting
to me was your mention of a second wife being a Hand. Aren't the Hands from
Baxter Co.?

William A. Melton of that line had a son, Frank (b1911) that married my Lela
Sinor there in Baxter Co. Lela got real mad at Frank, evidently and killed
him......early in their marriage. Frank was eighteen years old at the time
of his death and is buried near his parents; Bob and Marthy Melton, at the
Arkana Cemetery, there in Baxter Co.

I have never found criminal records for Lela Sinor Melton, so would love to
connect with a Melton researcher that would know something about her case.
These Sinors of mine were fairly tempermental folks, I think.......if they
were shooting their bulls, then they were shooting at each other. Just
found out recently that one of my ggrandmother Sinor Smith's brothers may
have robbed the bank in Pitcher, a small Ottawa Co., Oklahoma town near the
Kansas border in 1915, too. I tell ya, those Indians.......LOL

So, Harold.......I would like that Melton contact from the Historian and
appreciate your thinking of me and hope it helped Billy some, too.

Bernie
