Thanks, that should do me for now. Lou Brumble Blankenship was a sister
to my great-grandmother, Georgia Ann Brumble Morton. I have a picture of
William and Lou Brumble Blankenship, should there be anyone around that is
interested in them.
I tend to think of my mother's and father's families as completely
separate, but I get curious about some of the surnames that turn up in both
places (central Missouri and northcentral Arkansas): Wolfe, Copeland,
Berry, Bunch, Morton. Since the Blankenship name is a little more unusual
than some of the others, just thought I'd ask.
I was stunned a while back while browsing through the 1910 Izard Co. census
at the library to find my great-grandfather Morton's sister living in Calico
Rock. She can't have lived there for long and left no family in the area,
but sure enough there she was, right where it would never have occurred to
me to look for anyone on that side of the family. LaMyra.
