Faye,
I'm the source of my greatgrandmother dying from falling into the fireplace.
My grandmother Ella Melton Stroud Thompson, was sent to several family
members before finally staying with her Aunt Mollie and Uncle Huse Lamb. It
was one of the things she used to talk about. How sad it was. Grandmother
was at home when her mother had some type of seizure? and she fell in the
fireplace and then lingered for a couple of days. Never knew if she died
from the burns or from the seizure. The time frame is about the right time.
